Kendriya Vidyalaya, Goalpara-a unit of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development ,Govt.of India was established in the year of 2007 under the guidance of Mr.Utpalananda Sarma,I.A.S.(Ex-Deputy Commisioner,Goalpara Distt.) and Mr.K.C.Dubey,the first Principal of this Vidyalaya. Initially, with the strength of 250 students, the Vidyalaya started functioning up to Class-V (Primary section) in the old J.T.S.Builing Campus ,Beltola Bazar ,Goalpara-783121.Subsequently, the Vidyalaya witnessed gradual expansion of classes. In the session 2012-13 the first batch of these Vidyalaya for Class-X comprising of 33 candidates appeared the AISSE 2013 examinations under the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, with 100% pass percentage. In the session 2013-14 the Vidyalaya was upgraded to (+2) level Science stream. In the session the first batch of this Vidyalaya for Class-XII (Science) has apeared in the AISSCE-2015 examinations under the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. Above all, the Vidyalaya also serves as the Examination Centre for CBSE for AISSE and AISSCE since the year 2013 onwards.

Presently the Vidyalaya has been shifted to the permanent site at Bhalukdubi, Goalpara-783101 (Near Main Post Office Bhalukdubi). The School has also scored a 100% Pass Result in class X and XII CBSE Board Examinations 2016. Also this session (2016-17) an aditional section has been introduced in class I.
